Instead of reducing the influence of big money in elections, Bill Shorten’s plan to reduce influence will actually magnify it – especially the power of unions.
Under Shorten’s plan, they won’t be paying for the ALP’s election campaign. The taxpayer will.
Union’s will still be free to spend on ads as a third party.
As the liberal party has few corporate donors willing to make their conservative political stance known, Shortens plan will be another nail into the coffin of the Liberal Party.
