Robert Mueller, the special counsel, on Wednesday reignited demands for Donald Trump’s impeachment by breaking his two-year silence to deny that the US president is innocent of a crime.
If Muller wanted trump impeached, he should have said so in the report.
Ita finds bias at the ABC
ABC chairwoman Ita Buttrose has said some staff at the broadcaster unconsciously let their biases show through, as she revealed she had no plans to cut jobs despite the almost $84 million budget reduction facing the organisation.
“Sometimes I think we might be biased. I think sometimes we could do with more diversity of views,” Ms Buttrose told ABC Radio on Wednesday. “Sometimes I think, people without really knowing it, let a bias show through.”
Women scared of speaking against violence in the union movement
Women have demanded the CFMMEU remove John Setka from leadership roles in the CFMMEU … but are too afraid to put their names to the petition.
Rank-and-file union members are demanding that the CFMMEU’s Victorian secretary John Setka be sacked after he indicated he would plead guilty to harassing a woman, while criticising the case’s handling by union and Labor party leadership.
A female community activist who had spent more than 20 years in the Victorian union movement told The Age and Sydney Morning Herald that it harboured a culture of silence that was damaging efforts to achieve equality in the workplace.
There is a propensity for the union movement to close ranks and anyone deemed to be ‘airing dirty laundry’ is castigated,” said the activist, who asked not to be named for fear of reprisals.
A damning indictment.
